This is why Nike is still the king when it comes to marketing. Not quite as phenomenal as the Write the Future or the Take it to the Next Level commercials, but still amazing.

This is what dreams are made of. Nike gave thousands of players the chance to perform on the big stage and try to achieve the ultimate goal; To earn a professional contract. Some players out there never have that opportunity to showcase their talent. With so many players across the globe, sometimes a raw gem might fall through the cracks. When you do get that chance you need to own it. You never know who might be watching.

Nike is getting ready to release the black and circuit orange Superfly II. These boots are Pitch Black approved. It's simple and flashy at the same time. I was never a huge fan of the pink or purple Mercurial boots that came out in the past. What do you think of the boots?

Commercial definitely reminds me of my current living situation. Every night my roommates and I are either trying to nutmeg each other, playing MUFF in the spare room, or competing in a hallway passing game. We have not broken anything major yet... but it is bound to happen eventually.

Foggy Freestyle Volume IV

Swung by Tursi's Soccer in Lake Oswego yesterday and picked up a Futsal ball made by Calle. Obviously the first thing we did was film a couple freestyle sessions. Footy Guru nearly gets run down by some passing cars while I put on a demo for the shoppers at Albertsons.

Inspiration: Montalban Theatre

The Montalban Theatre is located in Hollywood, CA. The concert hall is host to all sorts of events including viewing parties for boxing fights and soccer matches. Nike has often used the venue to showcase upcoming product including their Sportswear line and the 2010 World Cup collections.

On the top of the building is a dual purpose court featuring soccer goals and basketball hoops. The coolest feature is the Nike Soccer mural that was created this summer prior to the cup. The mural idea is something I have been tossing around in my head for Pitch Black. Stay tuned for a future post detailing my vision for a Wall of Champions taking inspiration from soccer murals and graffiti art.
